CUSTOMARY PAYMENT

Retainers: it is customary to receive payment in advance. Usually this is a minimum retainer which is an educated estimate of what your case will cost. If the case is more complex or difficult than an average case, further work may be needed to complete it successfully.  Your case director will consult with you and get your authorization for additional work. This balance may be due at the end of the investigation if it is minimal, or additional retainer will be requested.  Retainers are based on flat fee or flat fee minimums that take into account hourly customary hourly rates.
 
Hourly rates: may very as to the type of investigation and expertise required for that aspect of the work performed.

Contingency: we do not work investigations on a contingency basis because if it were discovered that our expertise was paid for on a contingency basis, our courtroom testimony & report could be compromised as many perceive this as being a "Hired Gun”. Additionally, we choose to thoroughly work all of our cases. Many that accept bulk work on a contingency basis skim the cream from the top working only the easiest cases, returning the rest not worked beyond a quick analysis.

Corporate & Regular Clients: may qualify for 30 day invoiced billings and corporate volume discounts.
