INVESTIGATION TRAINING
The "Professional Investigator" diploma course is a comprehensive, complete course in investigations.
More clock hours of Investigations than most 4 yr college courses Day Class Hours: 408 clock hours of in classroom, instructor led, investigation education, & practical training. 24 hours a week for apx. 4 months. M -TH 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Evening Class Hours: 320 clock hours of in classroom instructor led investigation education & practical training + 88 hours of self study. 10 hours a week for apx. 8 months. Tues & Th 5:15 pm - 10:15 pm.
Demand: is high for trained investigators to fill positions both locally and nationally. Exceptional education: taught by working professionals, hands on, & highly interactive. Tuition: for students who do not qualify for training dollars, and can not pay for the full tuition up front, we carry our own student financing to meet most students needs. Placement: by law we can not guarantee job placement, but we do make an effort to work with you to gain employment by helping with resumes, targeting niche markets that optimize your skills, and of course job referrals. Holidays: the academy is closed all legal holidays, and takes off two weeks for winter holiday and one week for spring break.

FOOD SAFETY MANAGER Classes & Testing for Food Safety Manager Proud proctors for the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. WE HAVE THE HIGHEST PASS RATE IN THE BUSINESS. Federal Law: A certified Food Safety Manager shall be on duty any time food is being prepped or served for public consumption. PROCESS SERVER CLASS & CE Arizonalaw requires a license to serve legal documents as an officer of the court. How do I train to be an AZ process server? STEP 1:Process Server law & procedures Learn: Process Server law, procedures, & ethics. Test prep: take 2 Discovery PS practice tests during class. Testing for license: is only proctored at your county Superior Court. Guarantee: pass the county Process Service test or retake the class for free! STEP 2:business practices, contracts, and tactics to serve After you pass the test and are licensed, learn how to deal with clients, employers, and difficult subjects. | SECURITY GUARD BASIC EMPLOYEE CERTIFICATE & CE
Train & start your career as a Security Professional Security students, Discovery is approved by DPS to teach the Basic 8 hour class required by Arizona statute to be licensed as an Arizona security guard employee. A DPS certificate is awarded at class completion. Basic 8 hour DPS certificate class. $95 pre enrolled & $115 day of class if available. Enhanced 16 hour Security Guard DPS certificate class. $180 pre-enrolled & $225 day of class if available. Security applicants submit your certificate with your application, finger print card, & fee to DPS for processing your background check and licensing. For an armed position, you will need an additional firearms class & certificate. If you are approved, DPS will send you your Security Guard Employee License. Our classes exceed the minimum requirements for Arizona State DPS licensing for security guard employee training. Certificates are also given by Discovery that you can frame and include with your resume to future employers. This says you are serious about your career, in compliance, and have been professionally trained. Advanced training is available in corporate security and for CE credit. Also, many of our Professional Investigator classes apply to advanced security specialist. LIQUOR LAW MANAGER & BASIC CERTIFICATION Liquor Law " A liquor manager must be on duty any time alcohol is being served to the public for consumption".Basic & Management combo: All inclusive training & certification in one (1) day! Discovery Detective Academy is approved to certify & teach liquor basic & management for the Arizona Department of Liquor Licensing. Learn from experts in hospitality risk management and compliance investigations. Basic liquor law:We start with liquor law and legal elements that should be known by any employee or manager that handles or serves alcohol. This class is approximately 4 hrs in length, and we issue a certificate of completion to any non management employee that attended. Managers and owners stay for the second half, Liquor Manager. *Even though liquor basic is not a mandated class for employees to take, it is recommended. Having trained employees can reduce your liability insurance rate by lowering your exposure to the liability and risks associated with consumption of alcohol by teaching them to serve responsibly and to handle alcohol related problems correctly. Management liquor law: After basic is taught we take a break and continue with the manager portion of the class, while you have lunch. This goes into further detail regarding the management of employees, drinking patrons, and additional legal issues that affect a licensed establishment. This portion is approximately 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. At the end of class we issue a management certificate to all that complete the full day course. Management certification class is 7 1/2 to 8 hrs total. *Ask about our flat rate Liquor Law classes held at your facility, and remember we also teach Food Safety and give discounts for taking Liquor Law & Food Safety as a combo.
